Expert Tips
- To make these virgin, replace the booze with an extra 1/2 cup lime juice and a 1/2 cup seltzer water or lemon-lime soda.
- For a greener float (St. Patrick’s Day!), add a drop or two of green food coloring and stir to blend evenly.

More About This Recipe
- Move over stout beer, there's a new drink in town for St. Patrick's Day!It’s a shamrock float... only better!!My original thought for these drinks was just a simple lime sherbet shamrock float. I thought they would be perfect for St. Patrick’s Day.Then I decided that a margarita float just sounded too good not to make. Now, I know that traditionally margaritas are Mexican, but seeing as this one here is full-on green, I'm thinking it's a good bet for St. Patrick’s Day.So if stout beer is making you sigh, or you want a fun and pretty option for your St. Patrick’s Day party, here's your ticket!Cool, refreshing and decidedly perfect.
